30 minutes update

Assalammualaikum wbkt.

Hye everybody.. Happy holiday. Xin Nian Kuai Le..

Again a quick update for 30 minutes to release my anger and stress level right now,

Nothing much to brag here except for sharing some things that I bought and ate at IKEA last Saturday.

It was like entering a competition searching for the items needed from the shopping list within the allocated time.

I felt like it was some kind of a good activity where everything was done according to the list and we didn't waste so much time wandering to the things that we were not supposed to look at.

By the way, we started to enter IKEA at 11 a.m and we finished shopping and eating at 2.00 p.m. I found it cool as everything needed could be found easily except for oven.. (Maybe next time)..

I bought some stuffs with one purple granat pillow.. The rest of the pillows are mya's..

Here is a quick sneak at our items and meals:

Swedish meatballs, Chicken Leg with Swedish Herb and Lemon Sauce, Vegetarian pasta and Almond cake and Apple Juice

My comment about the food. I love the meatballs so much. The sweet sauce (should I call it jam?) really compliment the gravy perfectly! However the vegetarian pasta was a little bit plain sour. The taste of the Chicken Leg with Swedish Herb and Lemon Sauce was also not bad. Even though we were really full to be stuffed with main course, the almond cake was not really nauseating as we managed to finish it all. It was totally superb and I will not hesitate to buy it again in the future.

It was nearly two when we were done shopping. I waited for Mya at the bench while looking at Fyzal and the gang whom was busy chit-chatting and laughing. While waiting for the kids, Mya managed to run back in to IKEA to fish her last required item of the day : the rack. Luckily she was able to find it and we headed back home later.

End of IKEA day ;)

Started to enjoy cooking

Semua sihat harini? Hopefully okay right. Today's entry, I would like to talk about how devoted I am towards cooking kuih, apam and kek as my hobby nowadays. I don't know why but when there is time which I feel like craving for something or just feel like interested to try the new recipe which is  found from the Internet, I just feel like trying to cook it.

So today, I just wanted to share you the pics of lauk pauk that I have cooked before.

Someone's favourite donut

This entry also talks about donut. I wanted to include this picture together with the previous entry, but something went wrong, I couldn't attach it together with the previous entry. So I need to publish the new entry. Maybe it wanted to be exclusively here alone.

Here it goes one more donut which is very meaningful to me as this is someone's favourite donut:It's called as "white cashew"

Starting from now on, If I were to go to Big Apple, I will not hesitate to buy this too as eating this will remind me about you ;)

Today's entry about donuts..

I love eating donuts especially from Big Apple, J.CO's Donut and Dunkin's donut. All the donuts are irresistible even though some people consider those donuts too sweet to be eaten. For me it's just fine with me. There's a time when I am little bit craving for those donuts, buying for it would be the biggest satisfaction for the day ;)

Talking about the types of donuts that I mentioned above, I still remember when J.CO was first introduced in Malaysia a few years back, my friends totally encouraged me to follow them to queuing up long for the donut.. Haha it was a remarkable experience where once we entered the shop, it was like buying donuts in Indonesia as all the staffs were Indonesians and they served us using their dialect but it was fine for me as they gave a good and warm service anyway ;) . After all it was worth it to queuing up long.

Even though, I am the die hard donuts eater, I must admit here that I always take for granted the name of those donuts.. Haha.. Just ingat2 lupa the donuts and their name in my mind. If I were to request the donuts without being in the donut shop, I believe I won't be able to order.
Therefore I would like to post a few pictures of those donuts that I always ate together with their names for me to remember in the future without trying so hard to point my finger at the glass counter to buy those donuts " nak yang ni..yang ni..yang ni and yang ni..." hahaha (mesti korang pon pernah camtu kan? ;p )

Kisah disebalik popia vs kuah popia

Kisah ni berlaku semasa didalam proses menyiapkan popia. I used to see my mum buat kuah lada popia tapi sebab dah lama, I've forgotten the steps already. For that reason I decided to text my mum to ask about the ingredients and the recipe.

The daughter's msg sounds like this:
... Salam ma. camne ea nak buat kuah popia?

Within less than a minute I recieved the reply from my mum sounds like this:
cuka+serbuk teh+ n

With a big curiosity and enourmous wonder in my head, I told my housemate.."haaa?? SERBUK TEH???"

Dalam kehairanan n hampir percaya, I decided to call my mum untuk bertanya nak guna serbuk teh ke uncang teh..(hahaha sengal ubi)

Telefon punya telefon tiada balasan daripada mama..musykil sebab baru je tadi mama reply msg takkan dah hilang kot..

Sampai popia dah siap digoreng barulah I got a phone call from mama back dan dengan excitednya berkata "ma, guna serbuk teh apa??"
Lantas mama menjawab " haaa??serbuk teh apa ni kebingungan".

I replied further "lorh tadi mama kata nak buat kuah popia guna cuka+serbuk teh"

Mama yg kehairanan menafikan bertubi2 yg bila masa lah plak die bagi resepi tu sebab dia tengah semayang tadi..

Rupa-rupanya tanya punya tanya, keje papa yg mengreply msg mama senyap2 masa mama tgh smayang sambil bagi resepi kuah popia ciptaan papa yg mengarut tuh..hahaha..nasib aku tak sengal ubi g ikut..lao tak rasa apa tah kuah popia tuh..hahaha...
